Biography
Skye Brenneman is 15 years old, has been racing since she was 11, and is a fourth generation racer in her family. Born and raised attending Edmonton International Raceway, she watched her father and uncles race every weekend from the stands. At age five she already knew she wanted to drive. In 2020 her grandfather and father found a 1999 Pontiac Sunfire and brought it home — and in 2021 Skye started racing.
In her first season Skye competed for Rookie of the Year, placing 4th after a DNF affected her points. In 2022 she led the track championship standings for half the season before a power steering failure sent her into the wall at 90 km/h. A week later she was back on the track. After seasons focused on rebuilding speed and confidence, Skye is now competing in the NASCAR Pure Stocks class — a male-dominated 20+ driver field — focused on getting comfortable with tight, close racing and becoming more competitive with every race night.
