Biography
Briar Callon is a Junior Division athlete from Fenwick, Ontario, competing in equestrian sport. An active member of Pony Club, she has already represented Canada on the international stage and is the Western Ontario Dressage Champion.
At the 2024 Junior North American Field Hunting Championships in Ohio, Briar made a difficult call mid-competition. Recognizing her pony needed to stop, she chose to retire from the event to keep her mount safe. The judges and her peers noticed, and she was awarded the Sportsmanship Award for putting her horse first.
